Biography
Dongfang Yang is a Research Officer at the Industrial Materials Institute National Research Council of Canada He earned his PhD at the University of Guelph Guelph Canada Currently he is also an Adjunct Professor in at the Department of Chemistry Lakehead University Canada He has published over 42 reviewed papers 14 in conference proceedings and 1 patent awarded for new electrochromic materials He served as a Member of Editorial Board for journals “The Research Reviews in Electrochemistry†“Current Chemical Research†and “International Journal on Advances in Networks and Services†and the Member of Editorial Advisory Board for the journal “Sensors Transducers†He is a regular reviewer of peer reviewed journals in the area of Optics Lasers Thin Films Electrochemistry Vacuum Science and Technology and Sensors He also served as a member of International Advisory Board Technical and Program Committee Invited speaker and Session Chair for a number of international conferences He received three NRC institute awards and contributed to train a number of junior researchers technicians PDFs and graduate and undergraduate students.
Research Interest
Advance thin films and surface coating materials for chemical sensors, thermocouple and strain gauge sensors, energy storages, smart windows, photocatalysis and solid oxide fuel cells; physical vapor manufacturing processes such as pulsed laser deposition, pulsed electron beam deposition, and magnetron sputtering; chemical, electrochemical and optical sensors; laser materials processing; and electrochemical studies of organic adsorption and self-assembly monolayer.
