Biography

Xue Ben has completed her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University. She is Research&Software Engineer at MathWorks Inc, a leading technology company that develops products to accelerate pace of engineering and science. Her research focuses on building multi-physics models to investigate properties of nanomaterials with continuous methods and atomistic simulations. She is expertise in atomistic simulation, FDTD, FEM, nanomaterials, surface plasmon, surface/size effects, and building high performance computing infrastructures for computation. She has first author publications in Nature Scientific Reports, Journal of Physical and Chemistry C, Applied Physics Letter, Nanotechnology. She also serves as the reviewer for journals and international conferences, including Nanoscale, Nanotechnology, IOP MRE, etc.
